Phil Hartman as Keyrock, Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer (1990 - SNL) 

One hundred thousand years ago, a caveman was out hunting on the frozen wastes when he slipped and fell into a crevasse. In 1988, he was discovered by some scientists and thawed out. He then went to law school and became… Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer.

“Sometimes when I get a message on my fax machine, I wonder - did little demons get in there and type it? I don’t know.”

Two things.

1. SNL was so much better when I was a kid. There. I’ve broken that barrier of things that were “better when I was a kid”.

2. There are two times in my life where I recall vividly hearing about a particular death, including relatives. Both were celebrities. One was John Candy (The Cave Restaurant in Saskatoon on 8th street, from my mother, right after I’d ordered chicken fingers on my own for the first time) and the other was Phil Hartman (Right before my birthday, from my mother, in her greet Dodge Colt, driving to an appointment at the bank).
